 In the grounds of the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse Museum cottage you can also see the original self contained acetylene beacon from Great Sandy Island. The photo on the left (pre 1971) showing the light in its original location,

The current light, established in 1986 is a solar powered ML 300beacon in a size 3 GRP cabinet.
